Americans Satisfied With Their Current Health Coverage, Lean Against Single Payer, Finds New PRI Survey…

A new report from the Empire Center for Public Policy breaks down the costs of the single-payer health care legislation currently sponsored in the state Senate and Assembly known as the New York Health Act. Bill Hammond, the author of the report, finds that a state-run, taxpayer-funded plan would actually increases health care costs for nearly one-third of New Yorkers.
