This is especially true in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses can’t thrive without healthy workers and customers. As infection rates drop and the number of vaccinated New Yorkers rises, employers across the state are beginning to believe there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Unfortunately, for those hardworking employers, a health care storm is brewing in Albany.
There’s a strong push for the enactment of a statewide single payer system. This extreme proposal would make private health insurance illegal and replace it with a one-size-fits-all program run by the government.
